Bethany L. Berube joined Menard Lawyers, LLC as an Associate Attorney in September of 2021. Attorney Berube graduated Cum Laude from the University of Massachusetts – Dartmouth in 2012 and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Crime and Justice Studies, with a minor in Political Science. Attorney Berube received her J.D. from the University of Massachusetts School of Law in May of 2016 and was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in November of 2016.
After passing the bar in 2016, Attorney Berube worked at the House of Representatives for Representative Patricia Haddad, the Speaker Pro Tempore. There, she worked on the state budget, legislation, and assisted with constituent services. After working at the State House for two and a half years, she chose to pursue a career in prosecution.
In May of 2019, Attorney Berube had the opportunity to work for the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office as an Assistant District Attorney. As a prosecutor, she worked in a fast-paced environment and represented the Commonwealth in all stages of prosecution against criminal defendants, up to and including trial. Attorney Berube was responsible for handling many matters in court, including bail arguments, dangerousness hearings, pre-trial hearings, motions to dismiss, motions to suppress, bench trials and jury trials. She had the opportunity to work in all four district courts in Plymouth County: Plymouth, Wareham, Brockton, and Hingham. Attorney Berube also worked as a prosecutor in the Juvenile Courts in Plymouth County as well.
Attorney Berube is excited to be a part of the Menard Lawyers team. She will work hard to assist her clients throughout the legal process relative to their domestic relations matters within the Probate and Family Court. Attorney Berube has always had a passion for family law and is looking forward to helping her clients during one of the most difficult and emotional moments in their lives. .
